The Relationship Between Parental Parenting And The Incidence Of Stunting In Children Under Five In The Working Area Of The UPTD Puskesmas Of Pamboang District Majene Regency West Sulawesi Province

Background: Stunting is one of the nutritional problems that can reduce the quality of life of toddlers, because this condition causes stunted growth. Objective: To determine the relationship between parental care and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the UPTD Puskesmas work area, Pamboang District, Majene Regency, Methods: Quantitative research with non-participant observation type of research, with cross sectional research design. Total population 171 mothers of toddlers. A total sample of 63 was obtained using purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and observation, the data analysis technique used is the Chi-Square Test between parenting patterns and the incidence of stunting. Results: Based on the results of the chi-square test, the p-value (0.000) was obtained. Conclusion: There is a relationship between parenting patterns and the incidence of stunting in children under five in the UPTD Puskesmas Work Area of Pamboang District, Majene Regency.
