Abstract

Background: This study is a quantitative study with an experimental model that aims to
determine whether there is a Relationship Between Diet Patterns and Weight Changes in Grade XI Students of SMA NEGERI 5 Luwu, Methods: The independent variable in this study is diet patterns, while the dependent variable is weight changes. The population in this study were Grade XI Students at SMA NEGERI 5 LUWU, while the sample was female students from grades XI Ipa 1 To XI IPS 1. The data from this study were obtained by providing questionnaires and measuring weight. This variable uses an ordinal-nominal variable type. The data analysis technique is by using the Chi-square statistical test, Results: The results of the statistical test by looking at the Continuity Correction value show a significance value of 0.000, which means Sig. < 0.05, Conclusion: diet patterns are not significantly related to weight changes in Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 5 Luwu
