The Relationship Between Breakfast Habits With Student’s Learning Concentrationat SDN Sudirman II Makassar City

Abstract

Breakfast habits play a crucial role in supporting students' learning concentration. This study aims to analyze the relationship between breakfast habits and the learning concentration of students at SDN Sudirman II Kota Makassar. The study employed a cross-sectional observational design, involving 46 sixth-grade students selected through total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires that measured breakfast habits and learning concentration and were analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results indicated a significant relationship between breakfast habits and students' learning concentration (p < 0.05). Students with regular breakfast habits tended to have better learning concentration than those with irregular habits. This study concludes that regular breakfast is essential to support students' learning concentration and recommends active involvement of parents and teachers in promoting good breakfast habits
