The Effect Of Nutrition Education Through Leaflet Media On Increasing Knowledge About Selecting Healthy Snacks At SDN 020 Pombuntang, North Luwu District
Abstract
ood poisoning incidents often still occur among school-age children. One of the foods often consumed by school-age children is School Children's Snacks (JAS). Low knowledge triggers children to continue consuming unhealthy snacks and snacks containing additives that can be toxic to the body. This study is a Quasi Experimental study that aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of nutrition education through leaflet media on increasing knowledge about choosing healthy snacks at SDN 020 Pombuntang, North Luwu Regency. The population in this study were all students in grades V and VI of SDN 020 Pombuntang, North Luwu Regency, totaling 64 students. The research data were obtained by giving a pretest and posttest on choosing healthy snacks. The data analysis technique was the Wilcoxon test and the Mann Whitney test. Based on the results of the differential statistical analysis, P = 0.000 was obtained, which was smaller than a = 0.05. It can be concluded that nutrition education through leaflets has a significant effect on increasing knowledge about choosing healthy snacks at SDN 020 Pombuntang, North Luwu Regency.
