Abstract

Background: Balanced nutrition is an important component in supporting the growth and development of school-age children, which is a golden period in the formation of health, intelligence, and productivity. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of quartet educational games on balanced nutrition knowledge of students at State Elementary School 212 Pinrang. Methods: This research is an experimental research using Quasi Experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The population consisted of 34 students with sampling using total sampling technique and divided into two groups, namely the treatment group and the control group. Data were collected through questionnaires, then analyzed using paired sample t-test. Results: The study states that there is an effect of quartet educational games on balanced nutrition knowledge of female students at State Elementary School 212 Pinrang based on hypothesis test analysis obtained P-value <0.05. Conclusion: Quartet game media proved to be effective in increasing the balanced nutritional knowledge of female students because of its interactive and fun nature.
