Deteksi Dini Sindrom Metabolik: Screening Penanda dan Edukasi sebagai Upaya Preventif

Abstract

Sindrom metabolik (SM) merupakan kelompok kondisi yang meningkatkan risiko penyakit jantung, stroke, dan diabetes tipe 2. Penanda sindrom metabolik, yang meliputi obesitas abdominal, hipertensi, kadar glukosa darah tinggi, dislipidemia, dan resistensi insulin, menjadi indikator penting dalam mendeteksi kondisi ini sejak dini. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi dan screening awal dalam mendeteksi adanya  penanda sindrom metabolik  pada  pegawai.  Metode penyampaian yang dilakukan adalah dengan edukasi terkait sindrom metabolik, pencegahan, dan pemeriksaan fisik metabolik secara langsung dalam mendeteksi adanya penanda  sidroma metabolik. Sasaran dalam pengabdian ini adalah pegawai Badan Keuangan dan Aset Daerah (BKAD) sebanyak 30 orang.  Pengabdian  masyarakat  ini  berjalan  dengan  lancar  dan  komunikatif  serta pemeriksaan kesehatan dapat terlaksana dengan baik. Hasil yang ditemukan yaitu 27% mengalami berat badan lebih dan 20% obesitas, 70% dengan lingkar perut berisiko, 10% mengalami tekanan darah berisiko serta 7% mengalami prediabetes.
